Common Exemptions to Section 75-1.1 Liability

Courts have carved out certain types of conduct from the reach of Section 75-1.1. These judicially created exemptions typically involve situations that are not "in or affecting commerce" within the meaning of Section 75-1.1 or conduct that occurs in a heavily regulated area.
