In-Person Live | Navigating the New Frontier of Privacy and Data Security (2024 Privacy & Data Security Section Annual Program)

The privacy and data security landscape is complex and ever-evolving. With the introduction of new laws and technologies combined with intensified regulatory scrutiny, privacy and security legal professionals can often feel like they're trying to navigate a maze blindfolded.

In addition to the deluge of state comprehensive privacy laws, 2024 saw the introduction of new types of privacy laws covering health data. Federal lawmakers continued to be active in areas of children's privacy, health privacy, location privacy, data security practices, and AI governance. New technologies are emerging every day, leaving business stakeholders with questions about the data privacy and security legal issues that emerge when using these technologies.

This CLE brings attendees up to date on the latest developments in data privacy and security; provides information on the current regulatory landscape; and offers practical insights on managing risks associated with the collection, use, and disclosure of individuals' personal information.
