This year's program provides practical guidance on the basics of guardianship — an essential part of most elder and special needs law practices.
Session highlights include:
- Understanding the ethical concerns regarding representation in guardianship matters
- Evaluating less restrictive alternatives to guardianship and the concept of supportive decision-making
- Preparing for the preparation and filing of guardianship court documents
- Preparing for and attending hearings on guardianship matters
- Using applicable case studies to help see the "bigger picture" of how the various guardianship topics fit together
