DAY 1: HOW TO MANAGE YOUR WORKLOAD – TIME, TASK, EMAIL AND DISTRACTION MANAGEMENT FOR LAWYERS

Is technology serving you, or are you a servant to technology? Today, lawyers are constantly distracted by legal technology, connectivity, electronic case information, discovery, and information overload with email, instant messaging, social media, phone calls, interruptions and more. Lawyers switch tasks on their computers nearly 600 times a day. We are drowning in technology-based interruptions!

These technologies are essential and, in fact, required by many jurisdictions, but they are also killing productivity if we don't have the processes in place to deal with them.

In this program, we get our hands dirty and focus on how to manage distractions, emails, tasks and deadlines. Attendees learn how to take back control of your day and your practice with practical methodologies utilizing tools like Microsoft Outlook that you already own.

DAY 2: TIPS TODAY YOU CAN USE TOMORROW

This full day CLE/CPM program is designed to give everyone actionable and tactical information that they can put to use immediately.

What is a tip? For instance: Type =lorem(#,#) and hit <enter> in a Word document to add placeholder text by several paragraphs and number of sentences. Handy for templates! Or, right-click on an address in Outlook to add to your contacts so you don't have to rely on auto-complete. Or, consider printing a document or getting Word to read it aloud during final proofing to make sure you don't miss anything. You get the point!
