Keeping a Finger on the Pulse (2024 Health Law Section Annual Program)

Health care continues to evolve rapidly across the United States and here in North Carolina. Keeping with tradition, this year's NCBA Health Law Section annual CLE is designed to capture the most important new developments, especially those making the biggest impact in North Carolina.

There is perhaps no greater disruptor across the health care sector than artificial intelligence. Tune in as our dynamic AI panel takes a comprehensive approach to how AI is making a splash in health care, ranging from pressing legal issues to longer-term policy implications. We also have a separate ethics session that explores the intersection of AI with the practice of law.

In addition, this program tackles privacy issues at a broader level, including an interactive tabletop exercise where experienced privacy lawyers and cybersecurity experts demonstrate best practices and explore common pitfalls in handling common security incidents.

Our speakers also examine changes to longstanding laws and governmental directives impacting competition in health care, including their potential effect on consolidation patterns across the industry and in North Carolina.

Finally, this year's program features the return of the well-received North Carolina litigation and regulatory update panel, designed to be broadly applicable across health law practice areas.

Join us to explore these topics and network with colleagues and clients!
