North Carolina State Bar Update and Ethics Review

In this hour-long conversation, North Carolina State Bar Assistant Executive Director Peter Bolac and ethics counsel Brian Oten review the State Bar's activities in 2023, including the ethics process and recent ethics activities, and give a preview for 2024.

This review covers important developments at the State Bar applicable to all lawyers — as well as ethical issues on a wide range of topics, including billing for overlapping legal services and CLE rule changes — and provides a detailed explanation of newly adopted and proposed State Bar rules and ethics opinions.
