Description

Join us December 5–6, 2022, in Charleston, SC at the Charleston Marriott Hotel for the 2022 NC/SC Joint Construction Law Conference, a 2-day continuing legal education event allowing North Carolina and South Carolina attorneys the opportunity to discuss legal issues of common significance.

This year's program includes an impressive faculty line-up and addresses several topics of interest to construction lawyers in the Carolinas:

  • Day one dives into claims against design professionals and hear from a forensic engineer about construction defect trends. There is an extended discussion on commercial general liability insurance – a hot topic in the industry. The day ends with a discussion on risk allocation from both the litigation and arbitration perspectives.
  • Day two features several breakouts, by state, with a focus on construction liens and case law updates. The program concludes with a dynamic legal ethics presentation, which focuses on the primary rules of donduct related to conflicts of interest, with an emphasis on identifying and resolving conflicts in the construction law area.
