  • Meredith Pope

Meredith Pope is a real estate agent at Inhabit Real Estate in Raleigh. She is a real estate collaboration specialist in divorce. When so much is riding on the sale of a family home, it's of the utmost importance that clients surround themselves with someone who can remain neutral and is prepared to support them and their partner from start to finish. Her team of professionals, proven marketing strategy, and specialized knowledge of divorce real estate will help to ensure that client's get every single penny out of the home's equity.

Divorce listings are different. Client's can be at their worst during this difficult transition, and the house can be used as a power tool or a source of revenge. Decisions about the house must be made jointly, but they don't need to be made together. It's Meredith's policy to meet separately with each person, communicate with one person at a time (no group emails or calls), and strive to maintain neutrality always. She's the point person for all things related to the home, and communicates effectively with the involved divorce attorney or mediator.

Possible challenges can arise when one or both partners in a divorce becomes unavailable, unresponsive, or uncooperative to time-sensitive real estate matters. As a former psychotherapist, Meredith uses her counseling skills to encourage clients not to jeopardize the sale of their most precious asset due to emotions.

Meredith lives in Raleigh and works with folks all over the Triangle. She grew up outside Washington, DC, spent 6 years of her adult life living in England, and has lived in NC for 13 years. Prior to becoming a real estate agent she was a psychotherapist, and she's glad to still get to use my listening and communication skills as a realtor.

  • Mary Salisbury

Mary Salisbury is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) and founder of The Right Divorce Solution LLC in Wilmington. She started her practice because she used to be a financial advisor, and she found that her divorced clients hadn't received the financial guidance they needed in their divorce. Because divorce is mostly a financial settlement, she saw that as problematic and that people assumed that they will get financial guidance in their divorce from an attorney and forget that attorneys are not financial experts. She has since changed her practice to solely help people get through divorce a better way.

As a CDFA, she benefits her clients by helping them divorce affordably, being an objective viewpoint during an emotional process, helping them understand the financial feasibility of a proposed settlement, helping them become better prepared to take charge of their financial future, providing them with professional advice about their specific financial needs and helping them have a clearer understanding of financial considerations in order to make informed, educated decisions.

Mary earned her B.A. in Economics/Marine Affairs from University of Miami, her Paralegal Certificate from Institute for Employee Benefits Training and her training and certification as a CDFA from the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts in Durham.
