2021 Intellectual Property Law Section Program

This item is expired.

Although we have all grown accustomed to the virtual environment instigated by a global pandemic, it has presented both challenges and opportunities for intellectual property law practitioners.

Certain aspects of intellectual property law, like privacy pitfalls and technology collaboration agreements, have become more challenging. Others, like new licensing opportunities and leveraging technology for firm marketing, have offered more fruitful opportunities. And aspects like enforcement strategies in China have remained just as important as before.

The theme of this year's Intellectual Property Law Section CLE, practical guidance, aims to equip you with the diverse knowledge and useful insight to successfully navigate each of these aspects.

Topic highlights include an ethical conversation in light of the Supreme Court's Brunetti case, presented by keynote speakers John Sommer and Megan Carpenter, as well as year-in-reviews for trademark and patent law.

INCLUDED SESSIONS

  • Identifying and Benchmarking Intellectual Property to Find Licensing Opportunities
  • U.S. Trademark Updates and Review
