Local, State and Federal agencies have been collecting data to better understand the prevalence and sources of emerging contaminants such as PFAS and 1,4-Dioxane. The level of effort and resources to collect and interpret this data varies from state to state. As more data becomes available, regulatory agencies are working to further understand the magnitude of the emerging contaminant issue and develop enforceable standards.
The panel discusses similarities and differences in emerging contaminant trends and provides an overview of emerging litigation and enforcement proceedings.
